Focus Is Everything
We all stumble through life, with our ups and downs, wondering why things didn’t work out the way we thought they would.
Have you ever stopped to consider if it was your efforts working counterproductively against you?
Naturally, as humans, we’re meant to evolve, as we have done for thousands of years (for those of you who don’t believe in Evolution, quick, click on another blog to read!) – This is what’s led us to where and how we are at this very moment in time.
If we’re not making, producing, designing or manufacturing something – Then we’re not creating, so we’re no moving forward in life, which means we’re not evolving – We become stagnant with our lives (some parts, not all) and things can seem to feel strange, almost like we have no purpose in life – evolution is part of our DNA!
Nevertheless, focusing on channelling our efforts into the right things in life is paramount.
If you’re wondering what sort of things this includes:
– Relationships: When this starts to grow we evolve
– Education: When we learn more we evolve
– Fitness: When we train hard we evolve
– Travel: The further we explore the more we evolve
You get the picture – the more we understand, learn, comprehend, acknowledge and realise, etc -the more we evolve, that’s why focusing our efforts on the wrong things in life, isn’t going to get us far – make what you do, count.
Have you ever tried to admire a dog and really tried to understand their level of focus, perseverance and tenacity when fetching a ball?
Their whole lives revolve around playing; from the moment they are born to the moment we lose them forever – They dedicate 100% of their time to chasing, catching and returning the dirty yellow tennis balls we aimlessly throw at them, day in, day out – It’s part of their DNA and they absolutely love it.
Why are humans not this disciplined?
You might think it’s because we have so many other things to content with in life, so it seems impossible – Well, we do have a lot going on, but it isn’t, perhaps our focus isn’t in the right place!
